Reginald B. Sessions, District 1

Biography:

Commissioner Reggie Sessions is 54 years old and a native of St. Lucie County. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida A&M University in Electrical Engineering. He received his Juris Doctorate at Southern University Law Center at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.


Commissioner Sessions is married to his beautiful wife of four years Caroline Sessions with four adult daughters. At age 27, he was the youngest elected City Commissioner in Ft. Pierce history. He has served on the City Commission for five terms, more than any other sitting commissioner.


He is a member of the Florida Bar, an active member of Greater Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church where he serves as Choir Director and a member of the Trustee Board for the church. He is a former Professor of Law at Bethune Cookman University, former member of the St. Lucie County Fire Board, where he was very influential in the building of three fire stations.


Commissioner Sessions is also one of the founders of the local Police Athletic League (PAL), a member of the St. Lucie County Metropolitan Planning Board, Member of the St. Lucie County Retirement Board, member of the Lincoln Park Main St. Advisory Board, and lastly, a member of the Sunrise Theatre Advisory Board.


Commissioner Sessions is a breeder and advocate Rottweiler animal lover. He also enjoys boating in the Indian River Lagoon as one of his hobbies.
