The Support Operations Bureau, commanded by Captain Frank Amandro, is divided into three divisions: and Administrative Support, Fiscal Management, and Records. The bureau provides financial, computer, technical, administrative and personnel support to the various components of the department as well as training of personnel, and the recruiting office and other staff members. In addition, the bureau is responsible for tracking, maintaining and disseminating communications and information through the records department. It is staffed by four sworn personnel and 18 non-sworn personnel.
Captain Amandro has been with the department since 1994. He holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lynn University (Boca Raton, FL) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from St. John’s University (Jamaica Queens, NY). He is the Emergency Management Director for the city for all man-made and natural disasters.
Captain Amandro is a graduate from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy (221st Session), Florida’s Executive Development Seminar and Leadership St. Lucie (Class XX). In addition, he is a member of the Treasure Coast Chiefs and Sheriffs Association and the Florida Emergency Preparation Association.
