Captain Robert Sandifer commands the Community Response Bureau. When fully staffed the bureau will have three sergeants, seventeen officers and fourteen civilians, including eight school crossing guards, one secretary, one crime analyst and four Community Service Aides.
The bureau is organized under three units: Patrol Support, Community Policing and Crime Prevention.
The Community Response Bureau provides support to patrol, investigative services, and the neighborhood through crime watches and other crime prevention activities. The operational base for the Community Response Bureau is the main police headquarters at 920 South U.S. Highway 1.
