Captain Amandro has been with the department since 1994. He holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lynn University (Boca Raton, FL) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from St. John’s University (Jamaica Queens, NY). He is the Emergency Management Director for the city for all man-made and natural disasters. He is also the Gang Task Force coordinator for the police department.
Captain Amandro is a graduate from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy (221st Session) and Leadership St. Lucie (Class XX). In addition, he is a member of the Treasure Coast Chiefs and Sheriff’s Association and the Florida Emergency Preparation Association.
