POLICE ATHELETIC LEAGUE

The Fort Pierce Police Athletic League is dedicated to training and mentoring disadvantaged youth who live in low income, high crime, gang infested neighborhoods. Program events range from boxing, baseball and track & field to arts & crafts and community clean-up. In addition, the Helen Abbott Theatre of Hope provides a stage for local children to express themselves through performance, dance and song. The theatre has produced several successful plays.

PAL activities reduce member's idle time, instill discipline, improve self-esteem, teach positive values, encourage physical fitness and teach basic life skills. The goal is for participants to improve the quality of their lives and build vital qualities for a successful future.
