The Public Information Office coordinates all public information activities and serves as a liaison between the department, the media and the public. The Public Information Officer serves as the spokesperson for the department on matters of public interest. Other duties include producing the annual report, hosting a local radio show, writing stories for the city’s monthly newsletter and preparing and distributing press releases. In addition, the PIO organizes the awards ceremonies and is responsible for the department's volunteer program.

Audria V. Moore is a former journalist and youth development professional. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida and has been with the department since 2001.
