Municipal Elections
The City Clerk serves as the elections officials for all municipal elections. Candidates must file and qualify with the City Clerk. All financial reporting is done through the Supervisor of Elections.

Qualifications
Pursuant to the City of Fort Pierce Charter, Article VI, Sec. 52:
Any qualified elector of the city who has resided or will have continuously resided therein for a period of two (2) years prior to the date of the election for which the elector becomes a candidate, may become a candidate for mayor-commissioner (seat 1) by filing with the city clerk as provided below.
Any qualified elector of District 1 who has resided or will have continuously resided therein for a period of two (2) years prior to the date of the election for which the elector becomes a candidate, may become a candidate for city commissioner seats 3 or 5 by filing with the city clerk as provided below.
Any qualified elector of District 2 who has resided or will have continuously resided therein for a period of two (2) years prior to the date of the election for which the elector becomes a candidate, may become a candidate for city commissioner seats 2 or 4 by filing with the city clerk as provided below.
