Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is the function within the organization that focuses on recruitment, examination, and selection of personnel, performance management, training, and collective bargaining. Additional services include:

  • Acting as the city's liaison to the Civil Service Appeals Board
  • Conducting surveys and studies of fringe benefits
  • Offering safety and wellness programs

Human Resources' goals are to administer and monitor departmental operations, recruit and retain qualified workers, and assist with creating a diverse, highly skilled management team.
