[ARCHIVED] Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Launches Citywide Call to Action: “Our City. Our Responsibility.”

KFPB OUTREACH AT SAILFISH BREWERY

The City of Fort Pierce is proud to announce the launch of Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful – Our City. Our Responsibility, a dynamic city-wide beautification and environmental stewardship campaign developed by the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Advisory Board, in partnership with the Public Works Department. This initiative invites all residents, businesses, and community groups to join forces in creating cleaner, greener, and more vibrant neighborhoods across our community.

Help us kick off the Our City. Our Responsibility. movement on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM at Sailfish Brewing Company, located at 130 N. 2nd Street in our beautiful Downtown.
“At Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful, we believe our city deserves to shine,” says the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Program Manager, Marsha Commond. “Through education, outreach, and hands-on action, we’re empowering our neighbors to take pride in preserving Fort Pierce’s natural beauty.”
Ways to Get Involved
  • Adopt-A-Road Program – Commit to keeping a roadway litter-free.
  • Community Cleanups – Quarterly events with free supplies provided.
  • Great American Cleanup – Annual citywide volunteer event.
Volunteers receive trash bags, gloves, vests, and tools. Collected litter can be reported through the city’s Litter Cleanup Report Form to arrange bag removal pickup and to recognize your efforts.
Why It Matters
A cleaner city improves economic opportunities, strengthens community pride, and protects our environment. Everyone—from families to businesses—can play a role. Take a moment to watch this—it’ll give you a clear picture of why “Our City, Our Responsibility” is such a crucial initiative:  Our City. Our Responsibility.
