Residents and visitors are advised of temporary closures at Fort Pierce Jetty Park as crews begin staging for the Fort Pierce Beach Renourishment Project.
Key Details:
- Seaway Drive / Jetty Park / Parking Lot: Portions will be closed starting Wednesday, March 11.
- South Jetty & Adjacent Beaches: Closed Friday, March 14 – Monday, March 23 for initial construction and safety.
- Project Scope: Manson Construction, hired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will place approximately 400,000 cubic yards of sand along one mile of shoreline immediately south of Fort Pierce Inlet.
- Schedule: Renourishment work will occur 24/7, including weekends and holidays, with periodic closures continuing until mid-May.
