🚧 ROAD CLOSURE & DETOUR ALERT 🚧
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced temporary road closures and lane restrictions on SR 68/Orange Avenue for utility and roadway reconstruction work, as part of the ongoing SR 68/Orange Avenue Resurfacing Project.
🔴 CLOSURE DETAILS:
• Beginning at 5 AM, Monday, January 6, eastbound and westbound SR 68/Orange Avenue between N 11th Street and N 10th Street will be closed around-the-clock through approximately 5 PM, Wednesday, January 8, pending weather conditions.
- Westbound traffic detour: Via S 11th Street ➡️ Boston Avenue ➡️ S 10th Street ➡️ back to SR 68/Orange Avenue.
- Eastbound traffic detour: Via S 10th Street ➡️ Boston Avenue ➡️ S 11th Street ➡️ back to SR 68/Orange Avenue.
- Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
🔶 Additional Lane Closures:
SR 68/Orange Avenue between 13th Street and 32nd Street:
- One lane closed in either direction, 6 PM to 6 AM, Sunday through Thursday, through Thursday, January 30, for lighting upgrades, electrical upgrades, milling, and resurfacing.
SR 68/Orange Avenue between 13th Street and 33rd Street:
- One lane closed in either direction, 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, through Friday, January 31, for sidewalk work.
SR 68/Orange Avenue between 13th Street and US 1:
- One eastbound lane closed, 6 PM to 6 AM, Sunday through Thursday, through Thursday, January 30, for sidewalk work, lighting and electrical upgrades, and milling and resurfacing the roadway.
This project will improve safety and infrastructure, including upgraded sidewalks, lighting, pedestrian signals, and a smoother roadway.
