[ARCHIVED] City of Fort Pierce Announces Changes at Indian Hills Golf Course

Danny Visconti

The City of Fort Pierce remains committed to improving Indian Hills Golf Course and creating a self-sustaining operation that provides excellent customer service and enhanced recreational opportunities. As the City works to achieve this mission, the following recent changes at Indian Hills Golf Course have taken place:

Maintenance

International Golf Maintenance, Inc. (IGM), assumed responsibility for the maintenance of Indian Hills Golf Course on October 15, 2017. Their immediate efforts will include providing comprehensive training, professional oversight and a set of standard operating procedures for an onsite staff and directing resources on playable areas of the course. The City of Fort Pierce is encouraged by the professionalism and excitement that IGM representatives and city staff have demonstrated during this transition and look forward to significantly improved conditions at the course.

Leadership
Danny Visconti, PGA Professional and Fort Pierce resident, joins the City of Fort Pierce team today, October 25, 2017 as Golf Course Manager following the retirement of Lucy Posa.   Mr. Visconti has been a PGA of America Class A Professional for 21 years.   In 2013, he advanced his education to obtain a PGA Specialty Certification in Golf Operations Retail, joining the ranks of only 600 PGA professionals achieving this specialty certification nationwide.    Area golfers and residents may know Mr. Visconti from his years at Meadowood Golf and Tennis Club and the Legacy Golf and Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie.

The City of Fort Pierce greatly appreciates the community’s support for this city amenity and are confident that the course will exceed expectations in the future.
