City of Fort Pierce Invites Residents to Help Shape Safer Streets
FORT PIERCE, FL – The City of Fort Pierce invites residents to join the conversation about making city streets safer for everyone. As part of the Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP), the city will host three neighborhood meetings this December to gather feedback, share updates, and work together to reduce transportation-related fatalities and injuries in our community.
“We want everyone to feel safe and confident as they move around Fort Pierce—whether they are walking, biking, driving, riding the bus, or using a wheelchair,” said Selena Griffett, Project Engineer with the City of Fort Pierce. “These meetings are a chance for residents to tell us about their experiences and help shape the future of our streets.”
The CSAP builds on the City’s commitment to improving roadway safety. With an average of six crashes a day in the past six years, Fort Pierce is focused on addressing these challenges. Supported by a federal grant, this plan will identify key safety improvements, assist in making city streets safer for everyone, and position the city to apply for additional funding to help implement these projects.
Upcoming Neighborhood Meetings:
- Thursday, December 5 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Fort Pierce Recreation Center, 903 South 21st Street - Tuesday, December 10 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Avenue - Thursday, December 12 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Fort Pierce Garden Club, 911 Parkway Drive
Why Attend?
- Be part of the solution to make our streets safer.
- Share your ideas and experiences navigating the City of Fort Pierce.
- The first ten attendees at each meeting will receive a $10 Publix gift card, and everyone will have the chance to win an iPad in a drawing.
